21-07-2008 - PILLS approved by the Steering Committee
The PILLS Project was approved by the INTERREG IV B Steering Committee of the North West Europe programme, held in Luxembourg on 9-11 July 2008. There were 39 project applications to be decided on, only twelve of these were approved (and PILLS was one of them).
Receiving approximately 50% support of the European Union related to the total costs, the PILLS partnership is able to work on solutions for pharmaceutically burdened waste water until 2011. The PILLS partners namely the Centre de Recherche Public - Henri Tudor from Luxembourg, the Eawag from Switzerland, the Emschergenossenschaft from Germany, the Glasgow Caledonian University from the United Kingdom, the Université de Limoges from France as well as the Waterschap Groot Salland from The Netherlands are looking forward to a fruitful cooperation. The Emschergenossenschaft will be in charge of taking over the Lead Partner tasks.
