Symposium „pharmaceuticals in water - objectives and conditions` (lectures only in German language)

    The Emschergenossenschaft invites to a symposium on Friday November 25th 2011 to the „Kirchliches Bildungszentrum für Gesundheitsberufe im Revier`, Gelsenkirchen,Germany. Speekers are - besides partners of the PILLS project - as well Prof. Dr. Klaus Kümmerer and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Adolf Eisenträger.


    Prof. Dr. Klaus Kümmerer (Director of the „Institut für Nachhaltige Chemie und Umwelttechnik LEUPHANA, University of Lüneburg) will hold a lecture on approaches to minimize chemical substances in the environment and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Adolf Eisenträger, head of the department Arzneimittel, Chemikalien und Stoffuntersuchungen (Umweltbundesamt Dessau) will talk about risk assessment and risk management.

    Participants have the option to discuss with experts in 2 workshops about `realistic objectives to cope with residues` and „conditions at point sources`.

    The symposium will take place from 08:30 to 13:00; in the afternoon participants are invited to a site visit at the treatment plant of the Marienhospitals.
